Ian MacMicking

Ian joined the firm in 1982 and became one of its partners in 1985. Initially Ian handled a broad section of legal matters including property conveyancing, wills and estates, civil litigation and family law. Over the last twenty (20) years he has worked primarily in the area of personal injuries litigation and he is a very experienced personal injuries litigator.

As the firms Senior litigation partner, Ian has acted for both claimants and defendants in a wide range of personal injury compensation claims including motor accident claims, work injuries and workers compensation claims, public liability claims, medical and other negligence claims. He understands how the legal system operates as well as the difficulties and stressors which injured people face in obtaining fair and just compensation, and he is committed to obtaining the best possible result for his clients.

Ian is an accredited Workers Compensation Independent Review Office Approved Legal Services Provider. This means that Ian can seek a grant of funding from the Workers Compensation Independent Review Office (WIRO) to cover the cost of your legal expenses in workers compensation matters.
